HallofShame | Independent Thinking's Learning, Creativity and Engagement Conference Has No Women Speakers
Independent Thinking is a network that brings together “educational innovators, mavericks, and world-class practitioners” to tackle education reform. Their upcoming Learning, Creativity and Engagement conference on September 15, 2016 in London promises “some of the UK’s most innovative classroom practitioners” but includes zero women speakers. Where’s the innovation in that? Come on Independent Thinking, surely you can find equally innovative women educators!
For an entity that cites the goal of changing the way people think and “changing the world,” including no women at a national event is a big misstep. Thank you to an anonymous Avenger for bringing this conference to our attention.
