#HallofFame | National Book Awards Achieve Gender Balance
The National Book Awards, administered by the National Book Foundation, are awarded to writers who do great work in their genre across four fields. This week, The New Yorker announced the longlist for the National Book Award for Poetry. Among the ten poets listed, five are women!
Finding the best of anything should require an in-depth and far-reaching search. The impressive and diverse writers among the National Book Award longlist this year show that the National Book Foundation did just that. We applaud their commitment to accurate representation of the full range of stories and authors the literary world has to offer.
