Action Alert | The Root: 1, BuzzFeed: 0

The recently released The Root 100, a list of the 100 Most Influential African Americans, caught our attention because, OMG, it’s fantastic. There are 55 women among the 100 activists, athletes, journalists, actors, and others listed! That’s more than half for those of you keeping track (like us!).

This is a stark contrast from the Buzzfeed list we featured a few weeks back that included none.
