📣🚨 Action Alert | Another Week, Another Almost Balanced Lineup. Will the Internal Communications Conference Make It?

Internal Communications Conference

Last week, it was MozCon; this time, it’s The Conference Board’s Internal Communications Conference, July 21-22. With the theme of “Connecting in a Remade World”, this virtual event centers on “effective, data-driven, ground-breaking internal communications” during a time where “the need to support health and wellness, to accelerate digital transformation, and to understand how to connect in a new kind of workplace, is greater than ever before.”

The virtual stage will feature 9 women and 6 men; however, just 2 out of the 15 speakers are women of color, which is just below GenderAvenger’s 15% threshold for a Bronze GA Stamp of Approval. We’ve already seen improvement from The Conference Board since our initial review of speakers earlier this month, which revealed zero women of color at the time, so they still have a chance. We’ll be keeping an eye on things and will let you know if anything changes!

Here’s to hoping they get there:

It’s not a #manel but… 😒 The @Conferenceboard’s Internal Communications Conference is just shy of a Bronze GA Stamp of Approval on representation of women of color. 😩 There is still time to improve! #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/action-alert-internal-communications-conference
