📣🚨 Arizona Governor Leaves Women Out of the Future of Arizona Business

Arizona governor Doug Ducey recently held a roundtable discussion for 15 Arizona-based early-stage companies to highlight what his great state has to offer, which apparently is nothing if you’re a woman. Only one person seated at the table was a woman, and she was part of the organization hosting the event, not an invited businessperson.

Kudos to Jenny Poon for calling Governor Ducey out and shedding light, as we so often need to do, on the excuses women hear when they take action against exclusion. If the purpose of this meeting was to “shape the state's future and help Arizona be the most innovative for business,” it definitely seems like they’re doing it wrong. And given the fact that more women than men voted in Arizona in 2018, Governor Ducey may come to regret the oversight come election day. No women means no innovative future.

📣🚨 When Arizona governor @dougducey held a business roundtable meant to “shape the state’s future” something was missing – women – 50% of his constituency. Well sir, no women means no innovative future. #GenderAvenger https://www.genderavenger.com/blog/-arizona-governor-leaves-women-out
