#HallofFame | Sundance Film Festival 2016

This week, the Sundance Film Festival released the list of films for each of the 2016 competition sections. 

As a champion and curator of independent stories for the stage and screen, Sundance Institute provides and preserves the space for artists in film, theatre, film composing, and digital media to create and thrive.

We're happy to see that this critical space for artists will include a Hall of Fame gender ratio this year. 40% of the films in Sundance's 2016 Competition Lineup were directed by women.

I was pleased to see that 40% of the films in the Sundance 2016 competition slate were directed by women. It's critical that the voices of women directors be included in important competitions like Sundance, and it's wonderful to see such a diverse array of voices featured in 2016.
